Bonbonnière II

A tall, slender pink glass vessel with clear applied embellishments — the most vertical of the Tulipa vessels, its narrow diameter concentrating the form upward. The bonbonnière as form has a long history in European decorative arts; here it is reinterpreted at a scale that places it firmly in the territory of sculpture.

Part of the Tulipa collection, first presented in partnership with de Gournay at their London showroom during London Design Festival 2024. The collection extends the Giardino Segreto vocabulary into vessel forms that reference the porcelain urns and decorative objects historically found in the same interiors as de Gournay's Chinoiserie wallcoverings.
